Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using FridgeKind, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum digital-consent age where you live.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly report unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. Household sharing is intended for people you trust.

3. The service

FridgeKind helps organize food inventory, track freshness, create shopping lists, analyze submitted fridge photos, and generate meal ideas. Features, limits, supported devices, and availability may change. We may suspend a feature for maintenance, safety, security, legal, or technical reasons.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• FridgeKind Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered through Apple or Google. Prices, billing periods, trial eligibility, and included features appear before purchase.
• Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled under the applicable store rules.
• Manage or cancel through Apple or Google subscription settings. Deleting FridgeKind or your account does not cancel a store subscription.
• Trials convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before they end. Store rules determine eligibility.
• Refunds and billing disputes are handled under Apple or Google policies.
• Restore Purchases may require the same store account used for the original purchase.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of submitted photos, lists, preferences, and other content. You give FridgeKind a limited worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and process it only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the requested service. You represent that you have the right to submit it.

6. AI and food-safety notice

Ingredient detections, recipes, substitutions, quantities, nutrition-related suggestions, expiration guidance, and generated images may be inaccurate or unsuitable. FridgeKind is not a medical, nutritional, allergy, or food-safety professional. Independently verify ingredients, allergens, dietary restrictions, spoilage, recalls, preparation steps, and safe cooking temperatures.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use FridgeKind unlawfully; upload malicious or unauthorized content; probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass security and usage controls; automate excessive requests; or resell FridgeKind or use it to build a competing dataset without written permission.

8. FridgeKind ownership

FridgeKind, its software, visual design, branding, and service content are owned by the developer or licensors. These Terms grant a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose.

9. Third-party services

FridgeKind relies on Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Expo. Their services may have separate terms and may occasionally be unavailable. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using FridgeKind at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirement, or threat to users or the service.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FridgeKind is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Mandatory consumer rights still apply.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FridgeKind and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, goodwill, food, or opportunities. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount paid for FridgeKind during the preceding 12 months or USD $50, except where prohibited by law.

13. Governing terms and disputes

These Terms are governed by laws applicable to the developer identified in the app-store listing, while mandatory consumer protections where you live continue to apply. Contact us before filing a formal claim and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it informally.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when legally required. For questions, use the Support option in FridgeKind or the support contact in its app-store listing.
